Launched in 1995 to commemorate H.Stern's 50th Anniversary, the World Collection steered the history of jewelry to a turning point. The collection eliminated the notion of jewelry as a detached accessory. It pushed jewelry to follow the lines of the body like a second skin. The pieces are versatile, reflecting human nature - and our daily responsibilities. A double-faced earring, for example, may be more or less glamorous, depending on the occasion: On one side the admirer sees only white gold; on the other, only diamonds. The piece of jewelry might also possess features familiar only to the owner: the small diamond on the clasp of a necklace, for example, or H.Stern's signature stars hidden within a ring, touching the skin.
