H.Stern invests in an apprenticeship program to select new talent, not only for its sales area but also for information technology, marketing, personnel, and other areas. The company values competence and the individual qualities of each staff member. It is always looking for "working brains," creative professionals who will do their best for the company. In compensation, H.Stern offers to its employees the opportunity for fast growth and access to strategic positions.
H. Stern doesn't simply search for talent but more importantly invests in the training of its staff. Courses are offered to salespersons and managers to improve their techniques. A seven-month course for future managers prepares employees for leadership positions. Not all participants are promoted to managerial positions immediately, of course. Some will be registered in a talent bank and called upon when their talents can be best tapped. Our own Julio Spector University at H.Stern headquarters offers employees a range of courses of study, one of which is data processing and storage. The university's name is homage paid to the deceased director of our training department.
