H.Stern was the first private enterprise in Brazil to own a gemological laboratory to analyze the precious stones with which it works. Each specimen is classified according to the characteristics of purity, cut, color, and weight. The laboratory's standards are in accord with those of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
